About Shains

During October 2010, distributor, Tick Tock Trading Limited launched Shains throughout the UK and Ireland.

Shains was created in the US by Ewa Martinoff who, while driving home in Los Angeles traffic from her corporate job, was musing over her laptop computer’s power cord ‘bundler’ which she had wrapped around her wrist. She had long ago realized that everyone should have a chance and voice to make their own statement and that this bracelet/powercord ‘bundler’ could be a great means to that end. The awareness of how much we consume and how valuable our resources are meant it couldn’t just be another product. A year later and many trials to ensure an eco-friendly product proposition, Shains debuted.

The name SHAINS began as an acronym (developed by Ewa and her daughter Natasha Martinoff) – State How Action Is a Necessary Solution. Ewa and Natasha quickly realized that the expanded version of this acronym was not going to an easily memorable statement, so ‘say it wear it mean it’, became their slogan while the name SHAINS stuck.

The team and advisors to the company incorporate over 50 years of toy and gift industry experience with brands that include Mattel Toys, Warner Bros, Hello Kitty, and Nestle, just to name a few.

Job Satisfaction!

This week saw a fab Sezitall bookcase included in a Love It! Magazine magic wishes article.  Okay, so it does feel great to see any good coverage, but this was the type of coverage which made us quite frankly feel pretty warm inside.  The bookcase was included in makeover of a bedroom for a little girl called Charleigh, who had been rather poorly of late with Leukemia, and thoroughly deserved a boudoir fit for a princess.  The Love It! designer did a great job and the room looked great – I think Charleigh rather liked it too!

Thank you Sezitall for your generosity and of course to Love It! Magazine for granting such a worth magic wish………

About simply colors

Simply colors is a global company with its head office in Holland, and franchises in most of Europe as well as the USA, Canada, Australia and China.

Simply colors in the UK was started in May 2008 by Keeley Edge, who after receiving a simply colors t-shirt from her sister-in-law in Spain, was so impressed with their design and quality that she wanted to purchase other simply colors products.  It was then that Keeley discovered that simply colors did not exist in the UK and she decided to fill this gap herself and start up a franchise for the UK and Ireland.

An ode to Clover

When the new website was in the planning stages, I wanted to add something quirky related to clover and found this lovely poem by Ella Higginson.  However, try as I did to incorporate this somewhere in to the site, it just didn’t work on any of the pages and so poem was ditched :(   Anyway I still love this poem,  and I hope you like it too.

I know a place where the sun is like gold,
And the cherry blooms burst with snow,
And down underneath is the loveliest nook,
Where the four-leaf clovers grow.
One leaf is for hope, and one is for faith,
And one is for love, you know,
And god put another in for luck–
If you search, you will find where they grow.
But you must have hope, and you must have faith
You must love and be strong — and so –
If you work, if you wait, you will find the place
Where the four-leaf clovers grow.

We’re Officially Blogging!

Hello world!

Cloverleaf has a blog at last! Overdue I know, but here it is and I intend to use it to provide informal updates as they happen on our lovely client news including their hot off the press media successes and any new product announcements as they are known.

I might even chuck in my own personal ramblings, I think a blog gives a certain amount of permission to digress from ‘important’ business!

And speaking of digressing, I’ll sign off my first post to return to events on day 37 in the BB house as Ife has just been evicted.  Oh, and to complete the final tweaks to the copy for new website which is due to go live any day………:)))
